The customs identifier you need for import and export declarations

What is an EORI Number?
An EORI identifies traders for customs. Without a valid EORI, import/export declarations can’t be processed, delaying release. Pair your EORI with accurate HS codes and correct Incoterms® to avoid issues.
Where You’ll Use It
- On import/export declarations and customs entries.
- When registering with customs systems and deferment accounts.
- On invoices and shipping documentation where required.
GB vs XI EORI
Use a GB EORI for Great Britain customs processes. An XI EORI is used for certain Northern Ireland movements aligned with EU customs. If declaring in the EU, you may also need an EU-issued EORI.
